The meeting was called to order at 7:06 PM. Billie Locke in the Chair.

The Planner provided an overview of the current process to receive, evaluate and order heritage plaques.

The Planner provided an update on a resident's inquiry regarding the condition of heritage plaques on Main Street as well as wayfinding signs throughout the Town. He advised that the issue has been referred to the Public Works department as they are responsible for maintenance of these signs.

The Planner provided an update on a request for a replacement sign for the property located at 303 Park Avenue.

    1. That the Heritage Newmarket Advisory Committee recommend a replacement heritage plaque for 303 Park Avenue be ordered and issued.

The Planner provided an update on a request for a new heritage plaque for 543 Timothy Street, which recognizes the Office Specialty company which was located in the building and 1912 as the year of construction.

    1. That the Heritage Newmarket Advisory Committee recommend a heritage plaque for 543 Timothy Street be ordered and issued.

Committee members discussed the request for a Heritage Plaque for the Julius Rogers house located at 345 Botsford Street which had been addressed originally at the June 1, 2021 Heritage Committee meeting.

Billie Locke provided an update that the Elman W. Campbell Museum would be reopening in September 2021.

Mitch Sauder advised of the most recent sign permits issued in the Lower Main Street South Heritage Conservation District.
