The meeting was called to order at 1:01 PM.
Mayor Taylor in the Chair.

Mayor Taylor advised that the Municipal Offices were closed to the public and that this meeting was streamed live at Newmarket.ca/meetings.

Mayor Taylor advised that in accordance with the Town's Procedure By-law, no decisions are to be made but rather this meeting was an opportunity for Council to have informal discussion regarding various matters.

The Commissioner of Development and Infrastructure Services provided an introduction to the presentation and an overview of the process to date. The Project Management Leader – Mulock Property introduced the consultants for the project and provided an overview of the current status of the project.

Lisa Rapoport of PLANT Architecture began the presentation with an outline of the public consultation which has been conducted so far and a breakdown of the engagement strategies. Rebecca Carbin of Art + Public UnLtd provided an overview of the process for developing a public art program for the site and the various scenarios for the public art program.

Lisa Rapoport continued the presentation with a description of the site including archeological, plant, and soil findings, with the planned framework to support the ecology of the site in the future. She continued the presentation with an update on the plans for the site since the last update to Council. The presentation concluded with an overview of the next steps in the project.

Members of Council queried the presenters on the options for the artist residency, options for managing trees on the site, archeological findings on the site, options for gardens on the site, intended use of maintenance buildings, and vehicle access on the property.
