The meeting of the Newmarket Sports Hall of Fame Committee was held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in Multipurpose Room 1 at the Magna Centre, 800 Mulock Dr., Newmarket.

Dave White attended regarding the self-service kiosk.  Discussion ensued around the cost involved and the size of the screen.  Dave White will provide Ken Smith with a cost to bring back to the Committee.

NEW BUSINESS

 

            The following are the suggested inductees:

           

            Smoke Rings (hockey)

            Jim Brennan

            Joe Murphy

            Norman Randal Legge

            Andrew David Thomas Coates

            Redbirds (lacrosse)

            Margaret Davis

            Charles Goodard

            Harold McKlaine

            Newmarket Soccer Club (girl’s soccer team)

 

            Their information will be forwarded to the selection sub committee for ranking (Ken

            Smith and Don Bond).

            Next steps:  Research is required to see who will be put forward as a nomination.

            Each member is requested to research several suggested inductees and bring the

            information to the April 14, 2014 meeting.
