Arden Krystal, President and CEO of Southlake Regional Health Centre provided an introduction to the presentation regarding Southlake Master Plan and Advocacy, an update on the hospital throughout the pandemic, and introduced those in attendance representing Southlake Regional Health Centre.
John Marshman, Vice President Capital, Facilities & Business Development began the presentation with an overview of the current Southlake infrastructure, services and population growth over the last two decades, and future plans for expansion. Peter Green, Director, Capital Development continued with a review of the three options for expansion and provided additional information on the ambulatory and inpatient care, parking structures, and infrastructure requirements of each. He provided an overview of the considerations, forecasted costs, and long term concepts for all options. Tyler Chalk, Vice President, Strategy, Analytics and Communications concluded the presentation with an overview of the advocacy approach, advocacy strategy to increase support, and community involvement.
Members of Council queried the presenters regarding Provincial requirements and timelines, Long Term Care location options, and partnership and funding opportunities.
