JOINT COUNCIL COMMITTEE MINUTES – MARCH
4, 2014 – ITEM 2
NEW BUSINESS
Councillor Twinney advised that she had recently received
correspondence from a resident regarding concerns associated with the 60/40
costs split of fire services between the two Towns of Newmarket and Aurora.
Chief Laing advised that even though the fire services are consolidated between
Newmarket and Aurora that 100% of service is always provided. The Chief
Administrative Officer – Newmarket suggested that the correspondence be
circulated to all members of the CYFS – Joint Council Committee. Councillor
Twinney advised she would ask the writer if it is his intention to make a
deputation regarding this matter to the Committee.
