Summary of key themes emerging from interviews with members of Council, senior staff, and key stakeholder representatives.

Vision Check-In

Review of the Town of Newmarket Vision Statement to ensure that it continues to reflect the Town’s goals and ideology in the context of changing conditions.

Strategic Priority Identification

Erik Lockhart will facilitate this discussion using Group Decision Support Software developed by the Queen’s Executive Decision Centre. As questions are posed, participants enter ideas on laptops which get shared on a big screen Following discussion, the group has an opportunity to vote on priorities. The system collects and ranks the results to support effective decision-making and planning.

Discussion will serve to generate and record ideas related to actions or tactics that may serve to advance the strategic priorities.
